We are thrilled to have Ben Karuhije from Brandon MB with us this Sunday. Ben is on the lead team for ARC Canada and we are so excited to enjoy both his ministry and preaching as he opens up about church planting, having vision for expansion and loving our nation!
Ever found yourself stuck? Ever looked around at your circumstances and felt like… are these my only options? If you have ever felt down and uncertain of what to do next, then THIS sermon is for you! Ps. Lisa explains that Ruth goes from homeless to hero and how her faith, hard work and posture is such a testament and example to us and how we can serve and follow Jesus with such faithfulness and trust even when it's not so easy to do so.
When you think of Old Testament heroes your mind probably goes to Moses, Elijah, or maybe Joshua, and yet there is a second seat hero that can’t go unmentioned. Caleb’s steady belief in the promises of God and courage in the face of Giants makes him an incredible hero to learn from. Ps. Andy breaks down how Caleb had a wholehearted devotion to God that was unmatched and because of his faith, God blessed him and allowed him to see the promised land with Joshua in their old age. Be encouraged, your best days are still ahead of you!
John the Baptist had a very specific calling and a very specific role here on earth. It was his job to prepare the people for the coming messiah. He had so much opposition, he did tons of ministry but at the end of the day his job was to pave the way for Christ. What is so amazing about John is we can take so much from his life. He was incredibly humble, passionate about people, and as he paved the way for Jesus, similarly it's our turn to point people to Jesus.
Kicking off a brand new series, we are unpacking the radical faith of the different heroic characters that we see in our Bible. Ps. Lukas starts us off with James. The half brother of Jesus who went from not a unbelieving brother, to early church father to forgiving martyr. What is it that changes him so much in a span of 10 years? James is a righteous man, and he calls us to not just hear the word but to DO what it says. There is power in the word and power in obedience to what Jesus calls us to do and nobody knows that better than the Hero, James.
It’s Easter Sunday and there is Resurrection Life in the house! After all is said and done, Jesus has defeated death.. yet where do you find Peter? Where is His closest friend? Why has he ran back to a fishing boat instead of searching for his Saviour? The reinstatement of Peter is one of the best showings of just how impactful the Resurrection truly is. AND.. that same love and power that re-establishes Peter, is available for you too.
As we continue down the road that leads us to Jesus’ death and resurrection Ps. Adam brings us to a familiar point in the story. Many of us know of Jesus riding in on a donkey and the crowds yelling “hosanna!” Yet there is more to the story than just the triumphal entry. Jesus was anointed by perfume before he entered into the Holy city and that bold action shows us and reminds us that the resurrection has powerful ramifications on our life as well.
The resurrection is the most important and impactful moment in Jesus’ ministry and potentially all of history. It still has an incredible impact still 2000 years later. In this series, we do our best to put ourselves in a similar place and walk with Jesus everyday for the 2 weeks leading up to the cross. What was Jesus seeing, feeling, thinking? What were His disciples noticing? We start 2 weeks before the cross where Jesus foreshadows what is to come, as he calls out Lazarus and shows us the Resurrection Life that only comes from Jesus.
Did you know that Jesus has given us His authority? In our final week of the ‘God Is’ series, Ps. Andy guides us through scripture on what this authority is and how to effectively step into it. The armour of God is one of our greatest tools for utilizing God’s authority. With the armour of God on we not only have protection, but we have what we need for advancement!
In week 4 of our ‘God Is’ series, Ps. Adam paints us a picture of how many of us live; weighed down by chains. Oftentimes our chains can be subtle, starting with curiosity of sin. However, they will always create a heavy life that leads to death. God did not create us to accumulate chains over our lifetime and learn how to survive with them. He sent his son to earth so we can be free from our chains and live in relationship with Him!
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions: What is heaven? What does heaven look like? What happens when a Christian dies? In week 3 of our ‘God Is’ series, Ps. Andy will explain what the Bible promises us heaven will be like. Hollywood movie heaven is often what we picture- but is that the truth? Come with us as Ps. Andy reveals a new perspective in scripture.
We are thrilled to have Ben Karuhije from Brandon MB with us this Sunday. Ben is on the lead team for ARC Canada and we are so excited to enjoy both his ministry and preaching as he opens up about church planting, having vision for expansion and loving our nation!
Although it's not something we like talking about, the reason grace is so incredible is because of what it covers. Sin. Talking about sin can sometimes make us feel bad or heavy, but in this sermon Ps. Andy is going to help you understand that when you talk about sin you also get to talk about grace! That God has given us this incredible gift, He has blessed us with common grace, saving grace and a sustaining grace that makes Him our righteousness, something we could never achieve on our own. Praise the Lord for the grace of God!
As we wrapped up a series on Christian disciplines now we turn and focus on specific Christian doctrines that are foundational to our faith. Without a stable foundation of who God is, all that He has done and how that applies to us today, we can find ourselves lost and wandering. In this sermon Ps. Andy shares and answers the question “who is God” and helps us understand the trinity and our posture towards Him.
Today is Kingdom Builders Sunday where we look back at all the ways our church went above and beyond in their giving to fund and fuel projects and people all across the world. The heart of Kingdom Builders is in the name, to build the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. In this message Ps. Andy will help us look back, but also help us look forward as to what as a church we are called to do in 2023.
As we wrap up our series on the foundational pieces of the Christian practice, Ps. Adam talks about the one thing we were asked to do by Jesus right before he went to heaven, yet most of us find it the most challenging. What is it about talking about our faith with others that is so nerve racking? Why when we hear “evangelism” or “being a witness” do we cringe rather than get excited about sharing the gospel to our city, friends and coworkers? It is abundantly clear that we are a part of God’s plan A for rescuing the world and it's only by the power of the Holy Spirit that we can truly see transformation in those around us.
In week 3 of our series, Ps. Andy unpacks what it means to authentically worship God everyday. Often worship is boiled down to just singing or just serving… or something in between. Yet, we know as a Church it's so important that certain aspects of worship stay central in our theology and practice. Worshiping God is more than just singing or how we treat people, it's the daily act of bringing your best to God, proudly expressing and exalting God with awe and reverence. If you have questions about worship or want a deeper understanding of how to worship, this sermon will be foundational for you.
The bible stands as one of the most powerful, profound, quoted and shoplifted books of all time. For some it's a guide map to life and others nothing more than a document certain people read for inspiration. Yet at the end of the day, every person has to reconcile with the “good book” because if it's true, it delivers the greatest message, with an undeniable truth and hope for every person. In this message Ps. Andy shows us how it passes every test thrown at it to discredit it because you can trust the bible, it is authoritative and reliable and a needed foundation for your life.
What would it look like if we all had a deeper understanding of the things that help us cultivate a closer relationship with Jesus? We know that Jesus is our cornerstone, He is our firm foundation and yet we want to create firm foundational faith pieces around us so we are constantly growing with Him! It’s a new year church, its time to engage again in prayer, it's time to pray bold prayers again, and it all starts with having a strong theology of prayer so you can engage with Jesus in the most intimate way possible.
Here at coastline church we believe in helping people take next steps on their spiritual journey by revealing the life giving message of Jesus. Every single person has a next step in their discipleship journey and we want to make sure you activate your faith and 2023 is the year you go deeper with Jesus. Here Ps. Andy and Ps. Lisa will encourage you and remind you that you don’t need to add to your faith to be saved, but you certainly have to engage your faith if you want to grow closer to Jesus.
It’s Christmas Sunday and Ps. Andy wraps up our series, breaking down the final gift given to Jesus at his birth and all that it represents. In this message we discover that the gift of Gold represents the kingship of Jesus and how Jesus was and is a unique King who rules with justice and mercy unlike any King to come before Him. You know what the best part is? He only rules by your choice, not by His force and even though his home is heaven, he wants his throne to be your heart.
We can always be encouraged that we don’t have a distant God who is far or angry with us. The truth is, we have a close and intimate Father who came and served as our perfect priest. In this message, Ps. Andy walks us through how the gift of frankincense represents the priestly role of Christ and how in Jesus coming to us He became our bridge to God and makes it possible for men to enter into the presence of God.
When Jesus came he was offered three gifts from the wisemen from the East. Often we look at this as a simple exchange, a moment of blessing but the gifts given to Jesus carry far more meaning then we may realize. Gold, frankincense and myrrh speak to the authority and life of Jesus in His kingship, priesthood and prophetic life. This week Ps. Lukas breaks down the meaning of myrrh and how it speaks to our suffering and more importantly, His suffering and love for you and me. YES… God really is that big that the cross was already showing up in the manger.
Hearing from God can be a scary concept. What if God doesn’t want to speak to me? If He does, how does He speak? How do I know if it's God speaking or something else? What do I do if God is asking me to do something strange? As we wrap up our FEAR NOT series, Pastor Adam answers these questions and more as he looks at Joshua Chapter 6 and the fall of Jericho.
“What if'' syndrome is a common yet plaguing fear for many people's minds. “What if I don't get the call back, what if they say no, what if I don't get that contract…” Life is always changing and It’s really difficult to know what's going to happen in the future… which is why we need to remember the faithfulness of God in moments of fear. Joshua had something unique to him, in that he had seen the promised land. He went as a spy by Moses and he knew what lay ahead of them, he knew what God could do, he had seen his power and didn’t let the fear of the unknown stopping him from seeing the promises fulfilled for himself and the Israelites.
Whether it's the fear of man, the fear of your past or the fear of making the right decision… Every day we are inundated with potential fears and of what to do. The story of Rahab paints this picture so clear. Despite facing every possible fear from every possible side, because of her fear of God, she saves her family, she leaves a legacy of faith for those to come after her and she receives a blessing beyond her greatest imagination. The question we are left with is, how do we act when we are faced with fear and how do we make sure to rely on our faith in moments of doubt?
We do not have to look far to feel fearful of our surroundings. Interest rates going up, talk of a recession, disease, war.. Every channel and social media platform is screaming the same thing. Be very afraid. Yet, our God and faith would say the exact opposite, that we should fear not. We are told to be strong, courageous, faith filled Christians in every circumstance or time of difficulty. So how do we do it? How do we fight the fear in our lives? It all starts with knowing that smallest, simplest truth - he won't leave you or abandon you. He is with you!
It’s baptism Sunday which means we celebrate and party with the new life happening all around us! We know that baptism is the outward expression of the inward transformation that Christ has done in the souls of so many people! In this message, Ps. Lisa takes time to unpack what inward transformation looks like and how we as Christians can all constantly walk in a place where we are more and more becoming renewed and transformed to be like Jesus.
It’s heart for the house Sunday and it's also Coastline Churches 99th birthday! As we close our series, we take time to celebrate what God has done, what He’s doing and how at 99, we already want to look ahead at where we want to be at 100. Revival isn't done.. It's only just starting and being a part of the house, involved in the house is where blessing begins!
Today we are so grateful to have Emma Narayanan with us sharing an encouraging message. Her and her husband Ben are the co lead pastors of Avant life in Vancouver. They love Jesus, love church planting and represent the beauty of young passionate leaders being raised up in our district!
A friend of the house and a missionary to so many parts of the world, Ps. Brent Cantelon has a brilliant message filled with stories and truth for you to be encouraged!
It’s one thing to say ”okay God, out of all my money you can have 10%” but what about the other 90%? How do we make sure that we first realize, the whole 100% is from God, and ensure we fight to not have a spirit of selfishness with our money but feel free and open to constantly be generous? Ps. Andy breaks down how to fight a selfish spirit and allow the Holy spirit to make sure we aren’t becoming a reservoir with our finances but a river that goes above and beyond in ways of generosity.
In a world where success and growing and accumulation of wealth is a constant worry, what does it look like to truly and properly tithe? Is this still a biblical command from God? What would it look like if as a Coastline Church we said, “God has been so faithful, therefore so I should be too.” In this sermon Ps. Andy properly and theologically shows you what it looks like to bring a tithe and why it's so important to your spiritual journey.
There are so many things in life you do alone, but truly, life is not meant to be done alone. Coastline church will always be team minded and together focused especially when it comes to serving and helping others. If you want to truly make a difference, if you want to help move people closer to Jesus, and build people and ministry and kingdom life on this island, it has to be done serving together. Alone we may run fast, but together we run far.
Here at Coastline Church we exist to help people take next steps. One of those steps is to help every single person fan into flame the gift that God has placed within them! If you’re a Christian and you belong to Jesus, then you are called to use the gifts and passions that God has put within you to serve and love those around you. We are all called to serve and guard the good deposit and gifting that he is uniquely knit you with and Jesus is asking you to use it every single day! There is definitely a next step for every person after this message!
As we continue to unpack our pillars and talk about the values of Coastline Church, Ps. Lukas preaches on what it means to be truly free. We want our Church to be a place where everyone can know God, and you start your journey to find freedom because we know even though our spirit may have found salvation, our mind and body and heart still battle to find freedom every single day. You are meant to live in freedom, but it can’t happen until we claim our inheritance and sonship in God as Children of God.
It’s welcome home Sunday and we officially move forward with so much anticipation as we claim our new name “Coastline Church”. With so much excitement around our new name, Ps. Andy reminds us, we are still the same church, with the same mission and same pillars. We have always been a home of revival and God is still calling us to bring revival to Vancouver island, in helping people know God no matter what coastline they found themselves on.
The final section of the book of Ephesians ends with the call for all Christians to put on the armour of God. It's a reminder that God has given us all we need to ready us for all the things that will come our way both natural and supernatural. We are blessed to have a fellow island pastor and friend to many ending this section of our sermons, Ps. Evan Allnutt from Northgate Church in the Comox Valley.
In week 7 ps. Adam breaks down what it means to walk as children of light. More than just “shining bright”, he helps us ask the hard questions. What does our light represent, what happens when we walk in darkness, are we plugged into the right source? Don't walk in the dim, embrace your faith and let the righteousness of Christ shine through you!
To walk in love really has taken on a whole new meaning in today’s culture. To love in today’s society means to accept and affirm everyone and anyone no matter what they do or how they do it. Ps. Andy pushes back on this “conditional love” and helps us see what it really means to love God and love people in the way Paul urges us too. Paul describes a love that walks in God’s word, God’s way, God’s will in which we hold tight to our worldview while still loving sacrificially to others.
What does it truly mean to walk boldly in our faith? How do we live in such a way that it both honours God and makes a bold statement to the world about our love for Jesus? In this message, Ps. Chris helps us see that being a lifelong disciple of Jesus, constantly and consistently, learning to put on the new self is the real answer to living a bold, different, beautiful faith every day alongside the Holy Spirit.
Now that we have walked through three chapters of Paul explaining, who we are in Christ, its now time for him to turn the page as he begins to ask us some serious questions on HOW we live for Christ. At the end of they day, God has gifted all of us. He has put gifts inside every single person to help bring unity and show the truth about the love of Christ. The question remains.. will we walk in a way that is worthy of the gift of grace and the gifts He has given us?
Part of the Christian walk is recognizing that with the Holy Spirit who is dwelling inside us, brings unique and beautiful power. Yet, how come we don’t always see that power? How do we use that power? As Paul shows us in Ephesians 3, If we stay rooted and established in love, if we have a humble posture towards God, we will see that love and power go hand in hand in seeing people come closer to Jesus.
There is nothing better than the grace of God. Yes sin is real, but thank you Jesus, for He gives us the grace we need to be made right with God and the grace you need to truly motivate you to do the good works God has prepared for you! If you’re feeling discouraged, ashamed or broken, remember, our God is rich in mercy… His grace is new every morning, He takes us from death to life and there is no better message than that! This is absolutely the message you need today!
Every person is on a spiritual journey, and most people truly want to greater walk out their faith in their everyday life. As we study the book of Ephesians we realize Paul talks about the manner by which we live and walk out our life. He uses the term “walk” over 7 times and so we want to take a deeper look at how we can walk out our faith, not just on Sunday’s but on Mondays. As we kick off this series on Pentecost Sunday, Ps. Andy draws the beautiful parallel between the Holy Spirits outpouring where He brings both a blessing of unity and diversity under heaven.
“Is that true?” A simple and profound question that seems to pop up daily in everyone's mind in today’s climate. Truth to many is a relative term but Jesus constantly spoke in absolutes more than suggesting ideas that “could be true.” He in fact pointed to himself as truth. Similar to the story we read together, we have all asked ourselves and Jesus that difficult, deep question; what is truth? Jesus answers that question, but are we ready to hear it? Or will we be like Pilate and walk away before ever seeing and understanding how important the answer is for life today.
We’ve all been in that spot; stuck in a hard place, looking for direction, staring up at the sky asking “God, please give me a sign!” Like the Pharisees, many of us are desperate for that lightning bolt moment, because seeing a sign from God sure seems easier than simply believing in God. In this message Ps. Chris helps us see that Jesus was that very sign. When he says “I am the bread of life” it's not just a metaphor, but a sign that points to Him being the only sign you could ever need, and faith in Him is right where we need to be.
“How do I inherit eternal life?” A question that every person, whether a Christian or not, has asked and hoped to find the answer. As we walk through the question from the rich young ruler, Jesus challenges both him and us in today’s culture. The truth is that a great deal of us live with many thoughts on money, and little thoughts on heaven. However, the true path to heaven isn't more stuff or more “doing”, it all comes down to surrender and following Him.
As we wrap up our series, “Questions Jesus Asks”, we start a new series along the same lines looking at “Questions We Ask Jesus”. We all have questions we ask God; questions about life, relationships, pain and more. Pastor Andy walks us through a well known encounter the disciples have with Jesus where they ask Him a very familiar thought we have all had, “Jesus do you even care?” If you are walking through a storm or in a season of pain and frustration, let Jesus’ words comfort you and guide you through whatever you’re facing.
This week Ps. Lisa walks us through the story of Blind Bartimaeus. She unpacks a powerful and personal question that Jesus asks the blind beggar, “What do you want me to do for you?” The real power behind the story is what it took for Blind Bart to be face to face with the one who would heal him, restore him and send him on his way in a life following Jesus. This is a sermon about overcoming the crowd, standing up and standing out to live a life of freedom and faith.
In week number 4 of our series questions Jesus asked, Ps. Lukas unpacks the context to what at first glance is a bit of an awkward sounding question. In a matter of moments, Jesus brings faith, healing and identity to the two people who reached out and asked for help. The question we need to ask is not if Jesus can heal, or wants to help, but are we so busy in our own life, that we have forgotten what it means to be truly desperate and dependent on God.
Its Easter Sunday and Ps. Andy has a word for you! When we think about Easter, we are so excited to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, that He is alive and He has won a great victory! Yet, for the disciples, Mary, and the two disciples walking on the road to Emmaus, all they knew was Jesus had been crucified. They literally walked with Jesus on the road and still hadn’t fully grasped what had happened! Could it be that we could see Jesus and not truly know Him? We need a glimpse of the resurrected Jesus! That glimpse can change anything!
When we talk about healing it comes with all sorts of nuance. “How am I healed? Does God choose some people not to be healed?” Or the big question we always ask ourselves, “do I have enough faith to be healed?” In this week's message Ps. Lukas breaks down the question Jesus asks a man who has been a paraplegic for 38 years, “do you want to be well?”. Get ready because Jesus is going to shift your paradigm in more than one way in this piece of scripture.
Ps. Andy kicks off our brand new series “Questions Jesus Asked” with the ultimate question that Jesus puts forth, “Who do you say I am?” As we take a deep dive into the text we’ll understand this isn’t some random question, it's not about Jesus’ ego or an identity crisis… we as followers of Jesus need to make the confession and come to the conclusion that Jesus is the messiah, the living God and this question is a lot more for our benefit than Jesus’.
As we finish our 8 week Heaven on Earth series, Jesus concludes His sermon on the mount with that final ‘mic drop’ moment. He gives us a strong warning with strong language helping you see that He is the only thing worth building your life on. Tune in as Ps. Chris breaks down what it means to have a firm foundation, to live and practice the ways of Jesus, and to have the words of Jesus transform us to be wise builders who follow the authority of Jesus.
Typically a scripture we’re more excited to flip past than read intentionally, Ps. Lukas breaks down Jesus’ words and warning when it comes to false prophets and false teachers. Jesus also helps us see exactly what He is after, a heartfelt relationship, deep connection with Him. It’s never just been about ticking off the “spiritual boxes''. At the end of the day if we don’t take the time to truly know Jesus and let Him know us, he’ll simply say words He doesn’t want to, “I never knew you”.
Ask, seek, knock.. and it will Be given to you” sounds way to perfect doesn’t it? When we read this piece of scripture the question that comes to the surface for every person is, ”If this is a promise then why doesn’t God answer my prayers?” In this sermon Ps. Andy helps anyone who is wrestling with unanswered prayer & breaks down reasons why your prayers may not be answered and how Jesus redeems every prayer that seems to go unanswered.
Have you ever thought about the fact that worry doesn’t exist in heaven? That worry is something we only have to deal with in today’s world, and even then.. Jesus promises to help us in the journey of worry! In this sermon, Ps. Lisa unpacks that if we take the time to examine our focus, to invest in eternal treasures not earthly treasures, you’ll see that faith really can be an antidote to worry.
Make no mistake, Jesus has expectations of anyone who calls themselves a Christ follower. “When you …” are the words before Jesus talks about fasting, giving, and prayer and yet, there is one other piece to this puzzle. Jesus’ real concern is that the motivation of your heart is pure. What is your motivation to give? To look generous to others? Or to honour God & bless the least of these? This message will make you pause, reflect and check the motivation of your heart.
For centuries the Jews lived under what we know as “the law”, and in this sermon Ps. Andy breaks down what Jesus means when he says “I have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it.” Jesus is re-establishing the right way to live and He invites us to a faith based on LOVE not on obligation, relationship not rules. A life following Jesus is not a systemic life of “have-to’s” but a beautiful relationship and connection of “get to’s”.
As a Christian were called to be the salt and light of the world, but what happens if we lose our saltiness? If salt isn't salty.. What is it? If a light doesn’t shine bright, is it fulfilling its purpose? Ps. Adam helps breakdown 4 signs of a salt deficiency and how you can be the salt and light that Jesus calls you to.
Kicking off a brand new series based on the sermon on the mount, Ps. Andy helps us breakthrough into the deeper context of the kingdom of heaven and the be-attitudes. These 8 blessings are Jesus’ way of shifting the culture of the time and our culture today. He’s replacing what success, values and blessing looks like to us, with deep beautiful kingdom values, kingdom dynamics and kingdom blessings truly look like.
As we eagerly jumped into Jesus’ baptism, His temptations and his ministry, we didn’t take the time to really unpack who the writer is and what is the story of the Gospel writer Matthew. This week we take a behind the scenes look at who Matthew was, who he was writing to, and his incredible transformation story that changed his life forever. The goal isn't just to get to know the man, but to realize that the same transformation can happen for you today.
After Jesus was born, raised, baptized, and tempted in the desert, what happened next? What does life really look like after a long wilderness season? What do we need to do, to really start living our life after it's been through a hard dry season? Ps Adam gives us three things from the life of Jesus to help us move forward after coming out of a difficult situation.
In a world filled with temptation and constant pressure of sin, how do we wrestle the everyday battle of fighting for God’s purpose and plan for our life, rather than just living to quickly fill the desires of our heart. Jesus paves a way, and shows us that not only has He been tested and tempted like we have but He demonstrates that obedience to God is the nourishment we need, and truly seek.
Jesus’ call to ministry looks a little different than you may realize. He didn’t have to complete a task list or memorize certain verses of the scripture, but he was approved, called and appointed by God the Father. So what does this mean for us? In this message you’ll see that Jesus’ calling goes hand in hand with ours and approval, and calling isn't as far away as you may think.
With our first sermon of a new year, Ps. Ron outlines the life of John the Baptist. The cousin of Jesus and the one who would prepare the way for the coming messiah. In this message you’ll be challenged to live out this new year, driven by truth, humility, and conviction in a world that lacks courage and lacks the leading of the Holy Spirit.
As we wrap up our Christmas series, we take a deeper look at the family life of Jesus. Family life is fluid, constantly changing, and Jesus’ earthly parents were in a wild culture and dangerous time. (Sound familiar?) Yet rather than being led by fear or insecurity, Joseph & Mary, show us it looks like to have a family identity that is centered on Jesus and that being led by Him is far greater than leading yourselves.
In this message Andy shows us the intriguing contrast between Jesus, the Messiah King and Herod, the ruling king. Jesus was born in a manger, Herod a mansion. Jesus came for the hurting, Herod lived for himself. Sometimes at Christmas we can become indifferent and find a small piece of Herod in all of us. Caring for more the materials and pleasures of this world, yet Jesus comes and invites us to respond to His way of life, which leads to humility and full hearts of worship and wonder.
In our series we are following the story of Joseph, the less known perspective of Jesus’ earthly father. Now think for a moment, what would you do if the woman you’re meant to be married to is now carrying a baby, and it's from the “Holy Spirit?” What would be your response? Anger? Frustration? Divorce? The Christmas Journey has many themes, but one specific theme that Ps. Andy does not want you to miss this Christmas, is the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
As we start a new series, we wanted to start… from the very beginning. Ps. Adam shows us that even in the genealogy of Jesus, God foreshadows Jesus’ ministry and how deep His love is for you and me. Before Jesus was even born, God was already showing up to the lonely, using the unlikely and fighting for the lowliest of the world.
Diving into chapter 2 of Philippians, Ps. Andy breaks down that joy can’t be found without unity and unity requires real humility. The greatest act of humility and service we have ever witnessed is Jesus on the Cross. So rather than judging each other on every decision someone makes, (masks, vaccines, what to eat, where to live), let's fight for humility, fight for unity and watch joy take over our lives and relationships.
Kicking off a brand new series, Ps. Adam wants to break down every misnomer that we would think of when we think of “Joy''. It’s not just something you choose, it's not just happy feelings, but one of the greatest gifts from God that can change your life! Joy is an appetizer, the best foretaste of heaven and the good things still to come.
As we wrap up our series and our 8 week journey through Nehemiah Pastor Andy brings us one final thought around the common heart of the people of Israel. They had a heart, an obedience, and awareness that reading and listening to the Word of God brings an eternal joy and incredible power to their life and community.
Join the celebration of GT’s 98th anniversary as we give generously with a heart for the house. When you invest in the church, you can be sure it will strengthen both the house of God and your own house as well.
The ancient people of Israel under Nehemiah teach us how God’s Will requires a heart that gives. Sacrifice is an amazing pathway to victory.
We have gone through the first half of Nehemiah, and now we want to take a deeper look at the common heart of the people of Israel. The building of the wall around Jerusalem is finished… but why? Why was it so important for them to rebuild in just 52 Days? This week Ps. Adam kicks us off in this new series as we look at the first reason they want to build the wall, because they shared a common heart to worship.
We are doing a study on the book of Nehemiah found in the Old Testament. This week, Ps. Andy covers chapter 6 of Nehemiah.

We are doing a study on the book of Nehemiah found in the Old Testament. This week, Pastor Andy kicks off our series with a message about rebuilding the wall.
